Ingredients

  • 8 oz pkg wide noodles
  • 3 cups diced cooked chicken
  • (used 3 breasts)
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 ½ - 2 cups cottage cheese
  • ½ c. parmesan cheese
  • Mushroom Sauce
  • 1 c. chopped onion (used green)
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • ½ lb. sliced mushrooms
  • 1 c. green (I used red) pepper chopped
  • ¼ cup sliced pimento
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • ½ tsp. Basil

Preparation

Step 1



Prepare sauce: Saute onion, pepper, mushrooms in butter.
Blend in soup, milk, pimento, and basil.
Prepare noodles as per package directions. Mix in cottage cheese and parmesan.

In 9 x 13 greased pan, layer noodles, chicken, sauce, and cheddar cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min to 1 hour.
