SALISBURY STEAK WITH MUSHROOM SAUCE

Another milk calender recipe... these were excellant calenders..

Ingredients

• 1 tbsp oil
• 6 hamburger patties
• salt and pepper to taste
• 2 tbsp butter
• 1 chopped onion
• 3/4 lb sliced mushrooms
• 2 tbsp flour
• 1 1/2 cups milk
• 1 tsp worchestire sauce
• 1/2 tsp salt and pepper
• 1/2 tsp paprika
• 2 tbsp fresh parsley - chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oil and cook hamburger patties for 4 minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

Add butter to pan. Add onion and mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes till tender. Sprinkle with flour and cook for 3 minutes. Add milk, worchestire sauce, salt, pepper and paprika. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and cook uncovered for 5 minutes. Add patties and cook 5 additional minutes till cooked through. Adjust seasoning, if necessary. Sprinkle with parsley.
