Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

A delicious chocolate cake served hot so pudding oozes out.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c sugar, divided
  • 1 c flour
  • 7 T cocoa, divided
  • 2 teas baking powder
  • 1/4 teas salt
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1/3 c butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 teas vanilla
  • 1 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 c hot water

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350. In a bowl stir 3/4 c sugar, flour, 3 T cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk, butter and vanilla and beat until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour batter into 9" square pan. Stir together remaining 1/2 c sugar, brown sugar and 4 T cocoa. Sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water over top but do not stir. Bake at 35 to 40 min. Let stand 15 minutes before eating so pudding sets up. Serve with ice cream on top.
