Ingredients
- 2 large cucumbers, pared and thinly sliced
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 small onion, sliced paper thin and broken into rings
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/3 cup vinegar
- 1 teaspoon dried dill weed or to taste
- pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Arrange cucumber slices in a bowl. salting each layer.
Cover and refrigerate for an hour or more.
Drain cucumbers and rinse with water.
Add onion rings. Mix water and vinegar; pour over cucumber mixture.
Add dill and pepper to taste. Chill.
