  • 1/3 POUND BACON, DICED
  • 1 16 OZ PACKAGE FROZEN CUT GREEN BEANS THAWED
  • 1/3 C BEER
  • 1/3 C BUTTER CUBED
  • 3 T. BROWN SUGAR
  • 3 T. WHITE VINEGAR
  • 4 t CORNSTARCH
  • 2 T. GRATED ONION

Step 1

IN A LARGE SKILLET, COOK BACON UNTIL CRISP.
MEANWHILE, IN LARGE SAUCEPAN, BRING BEANS, BEER AND BUTTER TO BOIL. REDUCE HEAT, COVER, ANDSIMMER FOR 8-10 MINUTES OR UNTIL BEANS ARE CRISP-TENDER.
USING A SLOTTED SPOON, REMOVE BACON TO PAPER TOWEL TO DRAIN, REMOVE BEANS WITH SLOTTED SPOON AND KEEP WARM.
IN SMALL BOWL, COMBINE BROWN SUGAR, VINEGAR, CORNSTARCH AND ONION UNTIL BLENDED. STIR INTO SAUCEPAN. BRING TO BOIL, COOK AND STIR FOR 1-2 MINUTES OR UNTIL THICKENED. ADD BEANS, HEAT THROUGH. SPRINKLE WITH BACON.
