Ingredients
- 1 pkg. (1 1/4 oz.) dried shiitake mushrooms, rehydrated as directed
- 3 C. water
- 1 1/3 tsp. sugar
- 1 1/3 tsp. salt
- 1 1/3 tsp. soy sauce
- 2 T. cornstarch mixed with 1/3 C. water
Preparation
Step 1
Combine all ingredients except cornstarch in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and let simmer for 1/2 hour. The liquid should be cooked down to 2 C. Thicken with cornstarch mixture. Serve immediately.
