Snickerdoodles

Ingredients

  • 1 c. soft shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 c. sifted flour
  • 2 t. cream of tartar
  • 1 t. soda
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Chill dough. Form into small balls and roll them in a mixture of 3 t. sugar and 3 t. cinnamon.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake in 400 degree oven 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
