OVERNIGHT STICKY BUNS

Ingredients

  • 1 package (16 ounces - 12 rolls) frozen dinner rolls, thawed according to package directions. (Rhodes brand if you can find it)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Let thawed dough rise at room temperature for 2 hours or until doubled in size. In small bowl, stir together 1/4 cup melted butter, brown sugar and corn syrup. Spread into 9x13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle with pecans, set aside. Place remaining 1/4 cup butter in shallow dish. In small bowl combine sugar and cinnamon. Stretch each ball of dough into 10 inch rope. Dip in butter, coat with cinnamon sugar. Roll dough into spiral and arrange in pan. Cover pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. Bake in 350 F oven for 18 to 20 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes before inverting onto serving platter.
