Ingredients
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 sticks margarine or butter
- ½ cup white Karo
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon soda
Preparation
Step 1
Butter a large roasting pan or two pans 9 x 13 in. or larger.
Pop 8 or 9 quarts of popcorn (About 2 cups unpopped).
Place corn in pans.
2 cups brown sugar
2 sticks margarine or butter
½ cup white Karo
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
Mix these 5 ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil;
Boil gently for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add:
½ teaspoon soda and mix well.
Drizzle sauce over popped corn (and 2 cups
Peanuts if desired). Stir to distribute the sauce
by lifting corn gently with two rubber spatulas.
Bake at 250 degrees for one hour, stirring every
15 minutes. Store in a tight container.
