Chocolate Waffles

Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 sups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking pwoder
- 1 tsp salkt
- 2 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 4 Tbsp butter
- Whipped Cream for serving
- Chocolate or maple syrup for serving

Step 1
Preheat the waffle maker on medium-high heat. Preheat an oven to 200 degrees.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk and vanilla. Over a sheet of waxed paper, sift together the flour, cocoa, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture and whisk until smooth.
In a microwavable bowl, combine the chocolate and butter. Mocrowave on high in 15-second intervals, stirring after each interval until completely melted. Whisk the chocolate misture into the batter until no lumps remain.
Pour about 2/3 cup of the batter into the center of the waffle maker and close the lid. Cook the waffle until crisp, 4 to 5 minutes. Transfer the waffle to a wire rack set on a baking sheet and keep warm in the oven. Repeat to cook the remaining batter.
Serve the waffles hot with whipped cream and chocolate or maply syrup.
