Caramelized Bananas

  • 3 Tbsp Butter
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup apple or pineapple juice
  • 2 Tbsp Lime Juice
  • 6 - 8 Small finger bananas or 3 or 4 reg bananas, peeled and halved lengthwise
  • Vanilla frozen yogurt for serving
  • 3 or 4 servings
  • 250 cal



Step 1

Melt butter in a frying pan over medium heat and cook until it bubbles and starts to brown. Add sugar, apple juice and lime juice. Cook over med high heat uneil syrupy, 8 - 10 min. Reduce heat to medium, add bananas, and cook until slightly softened, 3-4 min, turning gently with tongs to cook both sides. Serve bananas with their sauce, accompanied with vanilla frozen yogurt.
