Ingredients
- 1 round of Brie or Camembert cheese, about 5" diameter (still in its wrapper)
- 1 C. coarsely chopped dried fruit (apricots, cranberries, whole sultana raisins, and currants)
- 3/4 C. coarsely chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, shelled unsalted pumpkin or sunflower seeds)
- 3 round tins of descending size
Preparation
Step 1
1. Place the round of Brie or Camembert cheese into the largest of the cake tins (or other round metal container). Fill the mid-sized tin with dried fruit and the smallest tin with nuts and seeds.
2. Label a recipe card to read (and then tuck it into the packaging):
Baked Cheese Trio
Preheat oven to 400°F. Unwrap cheese. Slice off top rind. Place sliced-side up in a heatproof dish (such as a gratin dish). Press about three tablespoons dried fruit and two tablespoons nuts and seeds onto cheese. Bake 10 minutes until cheese is softened. Serve warm with baguette slice or crackers.
