Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup icing sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
Preparation
Step 1
Combine sugars and butter in bowl. Beat at medium speed until creamy. Add egg and vanilla until well mixed.
Slowly add sifted mixture of flour, soda and cream of tartar.
Beat until dough forms a ball.
Shape into 1" balls. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie shhets.
Flatten to 1 1/2 inches thick with bottom of glass. Sprinkle with decorator sugar, if desired.
Bake at 375for 7-9 minutes. Let stand 1 minute.
