Ingredients
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. sour cream
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 1/2 c. rhubarb or blueberry
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/3 c. granulated sugar
- 1/3 c. flour
- 3 tbsp. margarine
Preparation
Step 1
Cream shortening and brown sugar. Add egg and beat well.
Combine soda and sour cream, let stand for a few minutes. Add to the creamed mixture alternately with the flour.
Stir in rhubarb (cut small) or blueberries and vanilla.
Pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan.
Mix the sugar, flour and margarine together then sprinkle ontop of batter.
Bake at 350 F for 35 - 40 minutes.
