  • 1 Large Onion chopped
  • 2 Garlic Cloved ,minced
  • 1 Tab unsweetened Cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • 1/2 Oregano
  • 1 (14 1/2oz )can Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 (15 1/2 oz) can Pinto Beans rinsed & drained
  • 1 Cup Cooked chopped Chicken
  • 8 Taco shells heated
  • 2 cups shredded Romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oil in dutch oven over medium heat add Onion,Garlic until golden brown about 7 minutes. Add Cocoa powder,Chili Powder, Cumin,Cinnamon,Salt,Sugar and Oregano. Cook until fragrant about 1 minute.

Add Tomatoes bring to boil. Reduce heat simmer until flavors are blended about 8 minutes.
Stir in Beans and Chicken. Return to simmer and cook until heated about 3 minutes.
Spoon about 1/3 Cup of Chili into each taco shell serve with lettuce and cheese.
