Cherries in the Snow*

Ingredients

  • 1 whole angel food cake
  • 1 (8oz) package cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (15 oz) can cherry pie filling
  • 1 (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed

Preparation

Step 1

Slice the angel food cake into 16 pieces.
Lay 8 slices of cake in bottom of a 9X13 pan that has been spread lightly with some of the whipped topping.
Mix together the cream cheese and powdered sugar.
Spread over the layer of cake pieces.
Lay remaining 8 slices of cake over cream cheese/powdered sugar mixture.
Cover with whipped topping.
Drizzle with cherry pie filling.
Cover with lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hours or over night
