Yellow Daisy

By

Oddly, considering its ingredients, this is thought to be a cowboy cocktail from the early American West, reputedly invented by the man who was the inspiration for Deadwood Dick. In any case, it's a great variation on the martini, with the substitution of Grand Marnier for bitters.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces gin
  • 3/4 ounce dry vermouth
  • 1/2 ounce Grand Marnier/Ferrand's Dry Curacao

Preparation

Step 1

Fill a mixing glass halfway with ice. Add the gin, vermouth and Grand Marnier. Stir vigorously, then strain into a chilled cocktail (martini) glass.
