Ingredients
- 1 1/2 C. frozen sliced peaches, thawed
- 1 1/2 C. cranberries, chopped
- 1 1/2 C. sliced, peeled apples
- 1 C. coarsely chopped walnuts
- 1/2 C. granulated sugar
- 1/2 C. packed brown sugar
- 1/3 C. all-purpose flour
- 1 C. rolled oats
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 C. butter or margarine, melted
- 1 T. lemon juice
- 1/2 C. packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- Dash salt
- 1/4 C. butter or margarine
- 1 C. coarsely chopped walnuts
Preparation
Step 1
1. In a large bowl, loss together peaches, cranberries, apples and 1 C. walnuts. Set aside.
2. In a medium bowl, stir together granulated sugar, 1/2 C. brown sugar, flour, oats, 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1/4 tsp. salt. Add melted butter and lemon juice. Toss till combined. Add to fruit mixture. Toss to combine.
3. Press into a greased 9x9x2-inch baking pan. Bake in 350° oven for 35 minutes or until apples are nearly tender.
4. Meanwhile, in another bowl, combine 1/2 C. brown sugar, 1 tsp. cinnamon and dash salt for topping. Cut in 1/4 C. butter or margarine till crumbly. Stir in 1 C. walnuts.
5. Spoon topping over hot mixture in pan. Return to oven: Bake 15 minutes longer or till topping is bubbly and apples are tender.
Note: Spoon into dessert dishes as you would a fruit crisp.
