CEREAL -- IRISH PORRIDGE

Ingredients

  • 1/4 C of McCann's Irish Oatmeal
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 C of briskly boiling water

Preparation

Step 1

Sprinkle 1/4 C of McCann's Irish Oatmeal and a pinch of salt into 1 C of briskly boiling water; stir well.

When porridge is smooth and beginning to thicken, reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. With a double boiler, only the preliminary stirring is necessary.

Serve with milk or cream and sugar or golden syrup and butter.
