Ham and Swiss Cheese Potato Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 package Betty Crocker® julienne potatoes
  • 2 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups cubed fully cooked ham
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese (4 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup Progresso® plain bread crumbs

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 400°F. Stir together Potatoes, Sauce Mix and boiling water in ungreased 2-quart casserole. Stir in milk, ham and cheese.
2.Bake uncovered 50 minutes; sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake 10 to 14 minutes longer or until top is golden brown.


Did You Know...
American Swiss cheese was modeled after two popular cheeses from Switzerland, Gruyère and Emmentaler. Shredded Gruyère would make a nice substitute for the Swiss cheese by imparting tangy flavor.

If you make your own bread crumbs, it will take about 2 or 3 slices of oven-dried bread to yield 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs.
