RedVelvet Cake

Ingredients

• 1 c shortening
• 1 1/2 c sugar
• 2 eggs
• -
• 1 1/2 oz red food coloring
• 2 t cocoa
• 1/4 t cinnamon
• -
• 2 1/2 flour
• 1/2 t salt
• -
• 1 cup & 1 T buttermilk
• -
• 1 t soda
• 1 t vinegar

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together first ingredients, then add color, cocoa and cinnamon. Mix dry ingredients and add alternately with buttermilk. Last, add soda and vinegar. Pour into greased and floured cake pans. Bake @ 350* for 30-40 minutes.
