Anejo Highball

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces Zacapa rum
  • 1/2 ounce orange Curaciao
  • 1 ounce house made ginger syrup
  • 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters

Preparation

Step 1

Shake all ingredients. Strain over ice into a cocktail glass. Top with soda.
*Combine 3/4 cup of unpeeled sliced ginger (oat, 1 cup of sugar and 2 cups
of water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil Over moderate heat. Lower the heat
and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
Strain, and keep refrigerated up to two weeks
