Thompson Burgers

Ingredients

  • 2 T margarine
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 4 chopped green pepper
  • 6 T onion soup mix
  • 1 T chili powder
  • ½ c. water
  • ½ c. catsup
  • 2 cups grated cheese
  • 12 French or hard rolls (or buns)

Preparation

Step 1

In skillet, melt margarine. Add hamburger
and pepper and cook until brown. Stir in soup
mix, water, and catsup. Cook slowly for 5
minutes. Add cheese and stir until it melts..
Add chili powder. Remove thin slice from top
Of rolls and hollow out. Put mixture in rolls.
and replace tops. Wrap in foil and heat in
400 degree oven 15-20 min. May be frozen
before heating. Keeps several weeks.
