Mini Wheels with Peas, Ham and Tomato

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 ounce) box Barilla® Mini Wheels
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons minced onions
  • 1/3 cup julienned fully cooked ham
  • 1/4 cup frozen peas
  • 4 medium plum tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

In a large skillet saute onions in olive oil over medium heat. Add the ham and cook until slightly crispy, 2 to 3 minutes.

Add the peas and saute for 2 minutes. Add the tomatoes; season with salt and pepper.

Cook pasta according to directions.

Drain the pasta and toss with sauce and cheese.
