ANGEL FOOD DESSERT****

  • 1 Angel Food Cake
  • 1 pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 2 beaten egg yolks
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. rum extract
  • 1 c. whip cream
  • 2 beaten egg whites
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • pinch of salt

Step 1

This recipe must be made the day before.

Cut up an angel fook cake. Melt chocolate chips in a double boiler with sugar. Remove and add beaten egg yolks, vanilla and rum extract. (If too thick add a little water). Beat whip cream and fold in. Beat egg whites, sugar and salt until stiff. Fold in. Grease 8 x 8 pan and place alternate layers of cake and chocolate mixtures. Make sure it ends with chocolate mixture on the very top. Refrigerate over night. Serve in champagne glasses.
