Apple dessert

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp softened butter
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups apples, peeled, cored and diced
  • Topping
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp softened butter
  • 1/3 cup flour

Preparation

Step 1

Combine sugar, flour, baking powder, butter, evaporated milk and vanilla and mix to a smooth batter. Add prepared apples; mix until apples are coated with batter. Spread mixture evenly in a well greased 8" or 9" square pan. Combine topping ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle over apple mixture. Bake in 400° F oven until light brown, 30-35 min. Serve warm or cold, topped with whipped cream, ice cream or as is.
