Kathy's 24- hour Salad

This is a great make ahead salad for a large crowd.

Ingredients

  • Mix dressing:
  • 1 medium head of iceberg lettuce, shredded. Place in 9" x 13" Pyrex dish.
  • Sprinkel with
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup sliced water chestnuts
  • few slices of mushrooms
  • cover with frozen peas
  • 1 1/2 cups of mayonnaise
  • salt, pepper, garlic powder

Preparation

Step 1

Spread the dressing over peas and sprinkle with parmesan cheese and paprika. Cover with saran and refrigerate. Sprinkle with bacon bits before serving. Toss salad or not.
