Ingredients
- 7 1/2 ounces flour
- 2 ounces Dutch cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 1/4 ounces bittersweet chocolate
- 8 ounces butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 5 large eggs
- 15 ounces granulated sugar
- 4 ounces Belgian chocolate chunks
- 8 Kirkland Signature chocolate chunk cookies, crushed
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 325 F
In a bowl, mix together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
Melt bittersweet chocolate and butter. Stir in vanilla. Let cool slightly.
In a separate bowl, mix together eggs and sugar. Add chocolate mixture and stir to blend.
Fold in flour mixture and half of the chocolate chunks.
Place crushed cookies in a greased 13-by-9- or 12-by-8-inch baking pan.
Place brownie mixture on top of crushed cookies.
Top with remaining chocolate chunks.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Makes 12 brownies.
