Churros Spanish-Style (Churros con Chocolate)

Ingredients

  • CHOCOLATE DIP:
  • 4 ounces dark chocolate
  • 2 cups milk, divided
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 4 tablespoons sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Place chocolate and 1 cup milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until chocolate melts.

Dissolve cornstarch in the remaining milk. Using a whisk, slowly add to the melted chocolate mixture.

Whisk in sugar.

Reduce heat to low and cook, whisking constantly, until it thickens, about 5 minutes.

Remove from the heat and continue to whisk until smooth.

Serve the warm chocolate dip in a coffee cup. Dunk the churros into the chocolate dip to enjoy as the Spanish do!
