Butter Toffee

Moms best toffee has been handed down to daughters.

Ingredients

  • 2 c butter
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1/2 c water
  • 2 T corn syrup
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 pkg semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 c almonds chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Bring butter, sugar, water, and corn syrup to boil to 290 degrees. Remove from heat, add vanilla. Place in jelly roll pan. Cool for few minutes then sprinkle chocolate chips and let melt. After chips have melted, spread with butter knife until smooth and coated completely, then add chopped almonds. Let cool, break. Enjoy!!!!!
