Traditional Swedish butter cookie. Grandma made these every Christmas without fail. She always made them into the shape of the letter "S", or as little Christmas Wreaths.
- 1 egg
- 1/2 C. sugar
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 2 C. flour
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Cream butter and sugar together.
Add egg (unbeaten).
Add vanilla extract.
Mix 2 C. flour to make soft dough.
Use spritz cookie press to make desired shapes.
Bake in 375F oven until golden yellow but not brown. (About 10 min.)
