- 1/4 cup lager beer or chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce

Step 1
Melt 1 stick butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Sprinkle in flour and whisk until smooth, 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk and a pinch of nutmeg; whisk until smooth, 3 minutes.
Add Velveeta cheese and whisk until melted, about 5 minutes. Whisk in lager beer or chicken broth, hot sauce and kosher salt.
