Hobo Dinner

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 t. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 t. seasoned pepper
  • 1/8 t. garlic powder
  • 3 redskin potatoes, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 carrots, peeled and sliced
  • olive oil and dried parsley to taste

Preparation

Step 1

In a bowl, combine beef, Worcestershire sauce, pepper and garlic powder; form into 4 to 6 patties. Place each patty on an 18-inch length of heavy-duty aluminum foil.

Divide slices of potato, onion and carrots evenly and place on top of each patty. Sprinkle with olive oil and parsley to taste.

Wrap tightly in aluminum foil and arrange packets over hot coals. Cook 30 to 35 minutes, turning 3 or 4 times during the cooking time.

Serve with French bread or rolls and eat right out of the foil.

Serves 4 to 6.
