Ingredients
- 4 lrg firm green tomatoes
- salt/pepper
- 1/2 c brown sugar (splenda)
- 3/4 c coarse buttery cracker crumbs
- (I used crumbled croutons)
- 4 Tbsp butter
Preparation
Step 1
Cut tomatoes 1/2 " slices; arrange slices in a greased baking dish. Season slices with salt/pepper and about 1/2 tbsp sugar on each slice. Cover slices with crumbs and dot with butter.
bake 350 until tomatoes are tender but firm, about 25 to 35 min. (I baked 30 min).
Norm loved them..said they had a diff flavor but great. They were good if I say so myself.
