BEET BORSCH pAPA

Ingredients

  • 6 beets
  • 6 potatoes
  • 1/2 piece of celery
  • 1 pt sour cream
  • 1 T brown sugar
  • 4 farmer style boneless pork ribs
  • 2 T vinegar
  • 1/2 cabbage
  • 2 T soup mix or bouillon

Preparation

Step 1

Cut ribs and brown. Add diced onions and celery. Add water to cover, boil. Boil beets til tender. Boil potatoes til tender. Remove skins from beets in cold water. Cut up beets and add to pot. Cut potatoes and add them. Cut cabbage and add. Simmer. Put some soup in a bowl and mix in sour cream. Add to pot. Add vinegar. Add brown sugar. Taste-add salt and/or sugar if needed
