Festive Fruity Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (85 g) Jell-O Strawberry Jelly Powder, divided
  • 1-3/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp. Magic Baking Powder
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. milk
  • 3 Tbsp. sprinkles

Preparation

Step 1

HEAT oven to 400°F.

RESERVE 1 Tbsp. dry jelly powder mix. Mix remaining dry jelly powder with flour and baking powder. Beat butter in large bowl with mixer until creamy. Add granulated sugar; beat until light and fluffy. Blend in egg and vanilla. Gradually add flour mixture, beating well after each addition.

SHAPE dough into 36 (1-inch) balls. Place, 2 inches apart, on baking sheets sprayed with cooking spray. Flatten with bottom of clean glass.

BAKE 8 to 10 min. or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets 1 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

WHISK icing sugar, reserved dry jelly powder and milk until blended; spread onto cookies. Top with sprinkles.
