Beef and Broccoli Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef top sirloin steak
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 4 T oil, divided
  • 8 oz uncooked pasta noodles (1-in pieces)
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 16 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 cups broccoli, thawed, drained

Preparation

Step 1

1. Sprinkle both sides of meat with salt and pepper, cut into thin strips. Heat 1 T oil in pan over medium-high heat. Add meat, cook and stir 3-4 minutes (until brown). Remove from skillet, cover to keep warm.
2. Add remaining 3T oil, pasta and garlic to skillet; stir until pasta is coated with oil. Cook 3-4 minutes until pasta is light golden brown, stirring constantly. Stir in tomato sauce and water, cover. Reduce heat to medium low, simmer 10 minutes or pasta is tender.
3. Stir in meat and broccoli. increase heat to medium; cover and cook 3 minutes or until mixture is hot.
