Ingredients
- 1 pound 80/20 ground meat
- Salt and pepper
- 1 can diced, roasted Hatch green chiles
- 1 red onion sliced
- 1 ripe tomato sliced
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese (granddaughters decided yellow cheese was best)
- 1 avocado, peeled and sliced
Preparation
Step 1
Make out your patties to fit the size of your bread. 1 pound made 3 of these burgers. Use thick sliced bread.
Butter the bread and brown on the grill.
Cook the burgers to your desired doneness.
The last few minutes put the green chilies on top of the burger to warm.
Add the cheese and cover with a lid to help melt the cheese. I like mine gooey.
Then add the toppings and you’re ready to eat. Steak fries, Green chiles and avocado.
