Ingredients
- 2/3 cup milk
- 5 tblsp sugar, dvd
- 1-3/4 tsp yeast
- 2 eggs
- 2-3/4 cups flour,ap
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 stick butter, plus 1/2 tblsp melted

Makes 1LB dough. Scald milk, stir in 1 tblsp sugar, then sprinkle yeast over. Proof 5 minutes. Add the eggs and whisk till smooth. Place the remaining sugar, the salt and the flour in the mixer. Then pour in the liquid and mix with the bread hook. Add the butter 1 piece at a time. Brush a bowl with the melted butter, put the dough into the bowl and turn to coat the dough with butter on all sides. Let it raise1-1/2 hours. Dough can be used for sticky buns,sweet pretzels,easter bread, apricot anise tarts,cherry almond focaccia or apricot braid.
