Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Greek seasoning or 1/2 teaspoon each dried oregano, minced onion and majoram
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/8 teaspoon each salt and pepper
- 4 whole wheat pitas
- 2 cups leaf lettuce, shredded
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 cucumber, grated
- 1 7 ounce container Greek 2% yogurt
- 3 tablespoons chopped mint
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/8 teaspoon each salt and pepper

Sandwiches
1. Heat broiler. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Greek seasoning, garlic, lemon juice and salt and pepper. Divide into 16 pieces, shaping into balls, and thread onto 2 or 3 metal skewers. Coat broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray; place skewers on pan. Set aside.
Sauce
1. Squeeze excess water from cucumber in paper towels. In a small bowl, stir cucumber, yogurt, mint, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Set aside.
2. Wrap pitas in foil and place in bottom of oven. Broil skewers for 4 minutes. Carefully flip over and broil an additional 3 minutes. Remove warmed pitas from oven. Top each with some sauce, shredded lettuce, 4 pieces meat and 2 tablespoons feta.
