Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds ground meat (of your choice)
- 1/4 cup chopped, fresh basil
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper
- 2 teaspoons Parmesan Pesto Sprinkle (Savory Spice Shop)
- or 2 teaspoons Parmesan cheese (green can) and about 1 teaspoon basil pesto
- 8 slices Sargento Provolone cheese
- 1 red onion, halved and sliced
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- olive oil
- 4 large buns
Preparation
Step 1
Break the meat up in a bowl and add the basil and garlic.
Sprinkle with the salt and pepper and Parmesan Pesto Sprinkle
Mix well using a fork to combine and work the basil through the meat.
Make out to 4 patties (large and flattened very thin)
Sauté the onions and mushrooms in the olive oil until browned. Set aside.
Cook the meat on a grill pan or skillet on one side about 4 minutes
Turn and continue cooking about 3 minutes.
