Sesame Ladoo

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white sesame roasted (Ellu/Til)
  • 1/2 cup peanuts roasted and skin removed
  • 1 cup jaggery

Preparation

Step 1

If the mixture keeps falling apart and you are not able to shape it, add a few drops of milk to the mixture. If milk is used to bind the mixture, store the balls in the fridge.

Method

Take sesame seeds in a skillet and roast.

When the seeds take a slight brown color, they are done.

Take peanuts in the skillet and roast.

Peanuts are roasted. Allow to cool and remove the skin.

Take the jaggery and peanuts in a blender or food processor.

Blend well.

Add the sesame seeds to it.

Blend everything together.

Take a small portion of the mix in the hand.

Press it so it combines well. If it does not come together, use a few drops of milk.

Using the palms shape it into a ball.

They take on a nice glossy appearance and are ready to eat.
