Ingredients

  • 2 Chicken breasts-split
  • 1/4 C. Flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 Tbl margarine
  • 1/2 C. chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 C. hot water

Step 1

Wash and dry chicken. Mix flour, salt, pepper and paprika in a baggie. Coat chicken with this. Heat margarine in saucepan. Brown chicken on all sides. Add onion-continue browning. Stir in thyme and water. Cover and cook over low heat about 1 hr. Check every once in a while and add more water if pan becomes dry.

NOTE: I usually use about a cup of water. You only have to cook 1 chicken breats. Other ingredients remain the same. If flour mixture is left over I save in a little baggie for next time. You can use onion flakes-just add after adding water.--Grandma Marge
