This applesauce will be slightly chunky. If you prefer a smoother sauce you can puree the cooked apples.
- 8 to 10 medium sized cooking apples, peeled, cored and diced
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar depending on sweetness of apples used
- 1/2 to 1 tsp cinnamon
In slow cooker, combine apples and water. Cover and cook on low 4 to 6 hours or until apples are very soft. Add sugar and cinnamon. Cover and cook on low 30 minutes more.
