Ingredients
- 2 tsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbs garlic
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 lb beef flank steak cut on diagonal in strips
- 1/4 cup corn starch
- 1 cup vegetable oil for frying
- 2 bunches green onions cut in 1 inch lengths

Step 1
Heat 2 tbs oil in saucepan. Cook garlic and ginger until fragrant (30 seconds). Pour in soy sauce and water and brown sugar. Cook 4 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside.
Place sliced beef in bowl and stir to coat with cornstarch. Allow to absorb 10 minutes. Heat oil in a wok style pan. Fry meat 2 minutes or until edges are browned. Drain meat on papertowel and discard oil. Return meat to pan and add sauce adn green onions. Bring to a boil and cook until onions are soft. Serve over rice.
