Pea Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 cups split peas
  • 2 quarts water
  • 2 inch cube salt pork
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 2 Tbs butter
  • 2 Tbs flour
  • 1 Tbs salt

Preparation

Step 1

Rinse and sort peas. Add salt porks and simmer until peas are done. Add vegetables during the last 45 minutes. Then add flour and butter in the last minutes or until thickened.
