Love this sauce on al dente fettucine noodles and French bread.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • nutmeg
  • salt
  • white pepper

Preparation

Step 1

1 Melt butter in saute pan; do not let brown. 2 Add cream, and bring the mixture to a soft boil. 3 Add parmesan cheese and cook until cheese is melted, and mixture becomes thicker (and it will thicken as it cools). 4 Add a sprinkle of ground nutmeg, salt and white pepper to taste. 5 Pour over al dente fettucine noodles.
