Low Carb Mozzarella Sticks

Ingredients

  • string cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • parmesan cheese
  • garlic powder to taste
  • Italian seasoning to taste
  • oil

Preparation

Step 1

cut string cheese in half
mix parmesan with some garlic powder and Italian Seasoning.
Wisk your eggs and then set up your breading station.
Dip the cheese in egg and then roll in the Parmesan
Redip them in the egg and roll again in the Parmesan to get a good crust.
Place them on a wax paper lined baking sheet.
After they are breaded roll them in between hands to really pack the crust and make sure they are evenly coated.
Place them in the freezer for about an hour. DO NOT DELETE THIS STEP
It will make the crust adhere better and not come apart as you fry and will keep the cheese from melting too fast before the outside cooks.
After they freeze fry them in hot oil. fry until golden brown
drain on paper towels
serve with marinara sauce
