Asian Marinade for Kabobs

Ingredients

  • Marinade:
  • 2 lbs steak tips, flank steak or
  • 2 lbs boneless chicken thighs, cut into one-inch chunks or
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro, roughly chopped
  • 1 onipn, roughly sliced
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine ingredients. Cover and refrigerate in the morning (or at least 1 hour before serving ). Strain vegetables from the marinade. Boil extra sauce and drizzle overtop. Baste frequently.

Note: this freezes well- on skewers or off. Defrost in the refrigerator. String meat on skewers and grill or broil.
