Tater-Baked Chicken

  • 1 fryer, cut up
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 c. potato flakes
  • 1/2 c. parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • black pepper, to taste

Cooking time 80mins


Step 1

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease flat baking dish. Wash and dry chicken. Combine egg and milk. Mix potato flakes and cheese. Dip chicken pieces in the milk mixture, then roll in potato flake mixture. Place chicken, skin side down in baking dish. Sprinkle with leftover potato flake mixture, and drizzle with melted butter. Bake 1 hour for large chicken, 45 minutes for small chicken.
